***Update Friday, February 5th 1 p.m. Here’s the updated link to access Yoga Farm’s resources. Enjoy in good health!***

We’re teaming up with the Newfield Middle School and the School for Radiant Living at Yoga Farm Ithaca to support the well-being of our neighbors through a series of engaging, science-backed programming called the Community Cares Project.

The Community Cares Project came about when we learned that nearly half of Newfield students reported feeling sad, depressed, or held negative beliefs about themselves according to a survey conducted by the Tompkins County Youth Services office. As we navigate these unusual times, it’s important to nourish the emotional and physical well-being of our entire community, especially youth. That’s the goal of Community Cares!

At our kickoff event on Tuesday, September 22, Jeannie O’Neill shared some quick and easy strategies for coping with stress. If you missed it check out this 5 minute video clip about the project and meet Jeannie.

Extended into 2021! The entire Newfield community will have free access to the simple tools and techniques provided by our partner School of Radiant Living at Yoga Farm in Lansing through their Online Academy. Follow these instructions to explore the rich library of classes, podcasts, and more.

The Community Cares Project is funded in part by the Pitch Program grant from the Tompkins County Youth Services.
