Is it summer yet? The Newfield Public Library invites you and your family to join our 2021 Summer Reading Program, Tails and Tales! It’s a summer spectacular full of special activities, events, and of course, prizes. See the calendar here.

How to Register:
  • Sign up here. Please register each participant individually.
  • In person at the Library or give us a ring at 607-564-3594.
  • Sign up online using ReadSquared, a free app that tracks your reading.

Once you’re registered, you can earn points by reading and attending events. And remember, all reading counts! The more points you earn the more chances you have to win prizes. There will be weekly random drawings so everyone has a chance. Log your reading progress using the sheet or the ReadSquared app.

Play NPL BINGO to earn additional points and be entered into an end of summer drawing.

Stop by the library each week for a free book to keep and a fun take-home activity. And of course we have hundreds of books and DVDs, park passes, storytime backpacks, ukuleles and more for you to borrow.

Age Groups
  • Pre-readers (birth-5)
  • Children (age 6-12)
  • Teens (ages 13-17)
  • Adults (18+)

This program is made possible by a grant from Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund of Community Foundation of Tompkins County
