Crafty @ NPL: Calligraphy for Beginners!
Thursday, April 4, 6:00pm-8:00pm
Try your hand at a new skill - calligraphy! We will cover basic calligraphy movements and supplies, and thanks to a donation of calligraphy sets each participant will leave with their own beginner's kit of calligraphy cartridge pen supplies. Sign up is very limited due to having a small number of kits, so be sure to stop by the library or give us a call to register before all of the spots fill up! Event is free, donations appreciated but not required.

Family Movie Night - Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Come watch Ralph Breaks the Internet with us! Six years after the events of "Wreck-It Ralph," Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure. Free event!

MakerSpace Event - Paracord Bracelets!

Learn how to make your own paracord bracelets using different weaving techniques and in all sorts of colors! All materials provided. This event is designed for kids in grades 6-12.

Earth Day Workshop: What's the Harm in Household Plastic Recycling?

Plastic - unlike glass or metal - cannot recycling infinitely. In this hands-on, interactive workshop with Newfield environmentalist Vanessa Greenlee, pick up 52 ways to reduce your consumption of single-use plastic, to help the planet and reduce your household budget. We'll make things (makers, welcome!), discuss a range of topics from policy to conversation starters, and learn of exciting new developments in science and "closed-loop" sustainability. Free event - sign up requested (stop in to the library or give us a call!).

Word Collecting, Celebrating the Power of Words & Reading!
April 15th - 19th.
Join us all week (while the schools are closed!) for events based around author Peter Reynolds work, including the book the Word Collector. We will have fun activities & books available out on the front table every day that can be worked on any time - we hope to see you there!

Local fitness instructor Stephanie Wright is leading this class for seniors. Increase your fitness and strength while having a good time. This program is a collaboration with LifeLong. There is a $5 suggested donation but no one will be turned away.
