Join educators from the Johnson Museum of Art, as we explore the codex, an accordion-folded book form often used in ancient Mesoamerica. We’ll share the work of contemporary artist, Enrique Chagoya, who uses humor, pop culture, and Pre-Columbian imagery to retell and reshape sixteenth-century life in Latin America.
Next, we’ll create our own zines using mixed-media, drawing, and collage. The sky’s the limit, with this small but powerful format!
