Celebrate America 250 with an art contest for kids 0-18 years old sponsored by the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution! During the month of April stop into the Library to pick up a blank sheet of paper, an entry form, and review the instructions. The contest celebrates the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States and encourages young artists to reflect on America’s past, present, and future.
Contest Guidelines:
Open to children ages 18 and under
Artwork must celebrate America’s 250th birthday
Use of any artistic medium is permitted
Artwork must be in shades of red, white, blue, and yellow
Optional text is limited to a maximum of four words (note: “America250” counts as one word)
All entries must be submitted to a participating library by April 30
The 1st place winner will have a one month local billboard feature of their artwork! Another 25 kids will have their art displayed on the digital billboard in Ithaca near our office throughout the upcoming months.
