Sunday, May 5th, 4:00 to 5:00 pm

Carlin Shew, New York State Parks Program Specialist, will lead a talk about native spring plants you can find in the Finger Lakes, as well as a seed planting activity where participants can take home pots to plant in your gardens! There will also be a handmade, follow-along coloring book for the little ones! Learn about local and ephemeral (short-lived) plants that are native to our region of New York. Pots and seeds will be provided, but feel free to bring your own little pots if you have excess! This program will be good for all ages! We will start at the library and if the weather permits, the planting activity may move to the backyard of the Masonic Temple, Main Street, Newfield.
